Inside Out Therapy is primarily a paediatric Speech and Language Therapy practice although we also offer support for young adults.
We offer tailored Speech and Language Therapy support for a wide range of speech, language and communication needs (SLCN):
- Attention and listening difficulty 
- Poor understanding of language 
- Late talkers 
- Limited vocabulary 
- Word finding difficulty (that ‘it’s on the tip of my tongue’ feeling!) 
- Difficulty structuring words and sentences (spoken grammar) 
- Higher level language difficulty (e.g. with inference, prediction, figurative language) 
- Poor auditory memory 
- Delayed or disordered speech sound production (including verbal dyspraxia) 
- Stammering (also called ‘stuttering’ or ‘dysfluency’) 
- Selective mutism 
- Poor phonological awareness 
- Social communication / interaction difficulty 
Many of the children we see are diagnosed with the following conditions, with which we have experience:
- Temporary hearing loss (e.g. caused by glue ear) 
- Permanent hearing loss (mild-profound) 
- Auditory Processing Disorder (APD / CAPD) 
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) 
- Specific Learning Difficulty, including Dyslexia and Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder (ADD/ADHD)
